I have been involved in the creation and management of social media platforms and ad campaigns for a client's small business. I have also created and managed social media archival content for a band. These projects have involved utilizing multiple social media platforms, research, design, image and logo creation, multimedia and video creation, and interviewing and copywriting. I have also been working with another client for another small business social media project and writing advertising copy. Not only have these projects allowed me to hone my skills across social platforms, I have continued to discover exciting and versatile facets of the communications field.

The Cosmic Evolution was a five-piece garage rock band founded in the late 60s and early 70s in Tallassee, Alabama. The five teens came up in the textile mill community where most if not all their families were employed and resided in the surrounding mill villages, at times working at the mill, known as “Cotton College”, themselves. With limited prospects of mill work, military or other trade, they set out to make their name in The Cosmic Evolution. In 1971 the band released a 45: Evil Woman / Mississippi Woman on Grass records recorded at FAME studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. The Cosmic Evolution made the Big BAM Top 40 in 1971 and were the first and only local band to do so. The band toured extensively throughout the Southeast on their bus. Notable performances include: The Big BAM Easter Egg Hunt in '71, the Birmingham Fair, and their Birmingham Civic Center performance alongside Alice Cooper, Paul Revere and the Raiders, and many other great bands of the time. They also appeared on live televised regional broadcasts. Other notable venues and performances include: Fugee's and Shepard's Purse, both in Auburn, AL; Eufaula Beach Club in Eufaula, AL; a beautiful Opry house in Guntersville, AL; Craig Air Force base in Selma, AL where they played for military service members, and too many National Guard Armories to list. They also played many college venues and private events including: post-sporting events shows, recreation center shows and dances all over Alabama in Troy, Monroeville, Greenville, Demopolis, Alex City, Butler, Evergreen, and Opp. With another single to be recorded and a record deal with MECCA just out of reach, like the fates of many bands before and since, internal strife ended their too short careers.
